Sara

Born and raised in east Tennessee, Sara followed a non-traditional path which ultimately led her to become the first attorney in her family. She believes strongly in the importance of promoting diversity and inclusion in professional fields. She has served as the co-chair of the 1L program for the Pledge for a number of years and now has served as the treasurer for the Pledge for a number of years. She is also an active member of the University of Colorado Medical School Admissions Committee, a member of the Colorado Bar Association Board of Governors, and a member of the Denver Bar Association Board of Trustees.

Professionally, Sara has represented companies in a variety of industries and stages of development, from early-stage startups to Fortune 500 public companies. Sara serves as outside general counsel for the majority of her clients and enjoys representing them on an ongoing basis as they grow. As Partner at SK&S Law Group LLP Sara applies that experience to serve both established and emerging companies. She specializes in employer-sided employment law, healthcare law, regulatory advisement, and all related matters. Sara is regularly published on healthcare and employment matters. Sara has passed the uniform bar exam and is currently admitted to practice in Colorado. Prior to law school, Sara worked in IT technical support. While in law school, Sara interned at the United Nations (UN) International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague, Netherlands. She obtained both her undergraduate and graduate degrees early and at the top of her class.
